BASS GUITAR

Good bass glues a band together, bridging the drums to the chordal instruments (piano and guitar).  You’ll learn solid technique and music theory as you develop a great sense of rhythm that is both independent and blends with the drums.  Play cool bass lines that add depth, harmony and texture to the music, helping set a groove that’s just right.

VOCALS

Learn to sing expressively and in-tune with a band.  You’ll learn the fundamentals of vocal technique including proper breathing and the use of the diaphragm.  You will find and expand your voice’s dynamic and tonal range, developing power and subtlety.  Learn to sing your favorite pop/rock songs and, in turn, learn to find your own voice and style.

KEYBOARD

The keyboards—whether piano or synthesized sounds--play a key role in many pop/rock songs. You’ll learn excellent technique, develop left and right-hand independence, and set the harmonic motion for the band. Provide mood-setting introductions, varied stylings, cool vamps, and learn to improvise melodies over chord progressions.
