LOCATION: Ardsley, NY 

Hours Available:  M-F 9:00- 11:00 and/or M-F 1:00-3:00, year-round. 

 

Teacher Qualities:

Outgoing, high-energy, charismatic kid-lover. You like making funny faces at kids just to see what happens. You marvel at kids’ energy, and you relish the idea of leading a room full of 4-year old’s singing, shouting, marching, harmonica-ing, and banging stuff. 

 

Teacher Experience: 

• MUST be 21 years of age or older, have valid red cross (or equivalent) First Aid and CPR certificates (on-line red-cross classes acceptable.)  

• You do NOT need to have any teacher training or have a degree in music. BUT you must be able to learn and sing kid-songs on-key and you must be able to play basic acoustic guitar (open chords) and basic piano melodies. 

• Maybe you were a camp counselor, or sang in school, or did musical theater, or maybe you just sing and hum around your house all day. 

• You must complete a part-time, teacher training program (training compensation = ½ rate of instructional pay). 

• For ages 6 months-3 years, class size is 8 kids + caretakers

• For ages 3-5, class size is 8 kids (no caretakers)

• Must pass background check
