LOCATION: Ardsley, NY 

Hours:  M-F 3:00-5:00, September 2022-June 2023

 

Teacher Qualities:

Imagine a small group of kids playing distortion-filled power chords on a Fender mini guitar. If that thought made you smile, this just might be the job for you.  You will be teaching the basics to kids who are barely large enough to hold their own instruments, which takes teacher patience and humility. You must love kids and admire good music.

 

Teacher Experience:

• You do NOT need to have any teacher training or have a degree in music. BUT you must know song structure of pop rock songs and you must be able to teach “the basics” with good technique on electric guitar, piano, drums, electric bass and drums. 

• Don’t need to be a virtuoso vocalist, but you do need to sing confidently on key. Maybe you did musical theater or were in a pop rock band in high school and/or college. 

• You need to be very skilled on at least ONE of: guitar, piano, bass, or drums. 

• Experience playing in professional, or semi-professional pop/rock group preferred. 

• Must pass background check.
